Hello My Name Is...
Dr. Tara Campbell
I am an enthusiastic educator with over 26 years of experience in public education, all in the Douglas County School System! I believe that public education is the great equalizer, and I have devoted my career to its service.
I taught middle school ELA and Social Studies for 21 years (in the same school where I went to middle school). After that, I served as a language arts specialist for the DCSS for four years. This is my second year in administration, happily serving North Douglas Elementary as Assistant Principal.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education (Mercer), A Master's in Elementary Education (Piedmont), a Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction (Piedmont), and a Ph.D. in Literacy Teaching and Learning (Georgia State).
I am happily married to my husband of 28 years and enjoy fishing and hiking. We have two adult children who make us both very proud.
I am extremely passionate about the work that I do and enjoy serving the children of North Douglas where we are Stingray Strong in the Relentless Pursuit of Excellence!
