North Douglas Elementary School

Pamela Adams

Hello, I teach 5th Grade Language Arts at North Douglas Elementary. Stingray Strong! In the relentless Pursuit of Excellence!  This is my first year with Douglas County schools, but I received my undergraduate degree in 2009 from the University of West Georgia and a Masters in Education in 2012. For the past 5 years I have taught middle school Language Arts and Social studies but it has long been my desire to teach elementary students.

Upon graduation I also received a Writing Across the Curriculum certificate from the College of Arts and Sciences for the completion of intensive writing courses.I completed my first year and half as a professional educator at Heritage Prep Charter School in Atlanta, Georgia teaching 6th & 7th Grades Language Arts and Social Studies. Followed by two years teaching 6th Grade Language Arts in Troup County. Then two-years teaching in the Carroll County and City Schools and finally arriving here at North Douglas Elementary.

I am a mother of two beautiful daughters, two granddaughters, who are students in the Douglas County School system and two grandsons.

Working with children provides me great enjoyment and I am looking forward to speaking with each of you about your Stingray.  If you would like to contact me, please do so at pamela.adams@dcssga.org or on the class Dojo account.

Best regards,

Pamela Jones Adams, M.G.E.D.
