Digital Learning Days

Hi Stingrays!
I miss you already and of course miss reading with you too!  There are some awesome opportunities right now to hear authors read their own books and teach students how to draw their characters!  Check these out!  I'll add more as our time passes!

If you click the digital work link to your right, it will take you to lessons I have put together based off our One School, One Book - Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library.  Chris Grabenstein, the author has also posted this inside look at Mr. Lemoncello's Library!  Here he has also posted himself reading the first chapter of Escape.

Mo Willems, author of the Pigeon, Elephant and Piggie, and Knuffle Bunny books, is hosting a lunch time drawing session each day here.

Peter H. Reynolds, author of The Dot, Say Something, and Ish, is reading his books here every day at noon.

See actors read some of our favorite everybody books like A Bad Case of Stripes here.

Use Scholastic's Learn at Home to read articles, stories, and complete challenges! You can find that here: Pre-K -Kindergarten, 1-2, 3-5.

Author Jarrett Lerner is adding daily activities to help you become the next graphic novelist! Check it out here.

Audible is opening up their catalog of books until school is back in session. Check it out here.

And of course you can always read through MyOn and then don't forget to take your AR tests! You can access both of these through Classlinks by clicking students up above on the bar, then clicking ClassLink.

Here's some ideas to find new books on MyOn:
Monday - read a Non-Fiction book
Tuesday - read a book that is recommended from MyOn
Wednesday - read a book that is about a new activity you want to learn (such as cooking or drawing)
Thursday - read a book that is longer than the one you read yesterday (you can see length in the preview)
Friday - read a fiction book with a character that looks interesting

Are you ready for a field trip?  Click field trip under digital work on the upper right side of this page!

I miss you all!  If you need anything, email me here!

Love,
Ms. Henry
