Help Us Prevent Summer Slide!

Summer LossOur students have worked so hard this year!  Help us prevent losing some of their gains over the summer by having your student complete some activities.  A few minutes each day can make a world of difference in the new school year.  How can we fight summer slide?

The Douglas County School System has teamed up with the Douglas County Public Library to promote reading this summer!  Sign your student up at https://forms.gle/nFgduxhSwTivPrj28  and take them to your local library on Selman Drive during the summer to read books, participate in activities, and win prizes!  The registration website will be live after May 28th!

Have your students read on MyOn!  The program our students use all during the school year is available all summer as well!  They can log on at home with the same username and password they do at school. Please log through Clever by using this link:  https://clever.com/oauth/authorize?response_type=code&state=0bf1c44ac37e2889ea57a309c1f42ea5fb93fa1e694aa6358cf6688edb5d0bc6&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fclever.com%2Fin%2Fauth_callback&client_id=4c63c1cf623dce82caac&confirmed=true&channel=clever&district_id=524c6a7b755709090c0004cc

Principal Kelly has issued another 30 book Challenge to all of our students!  Each student will receive a packet of books to begin this challenge and they can read all summer long!  (The books they read to win prizes at the public library can also be used towards the Principal's Book Challenge!

Summer Literacy Packets are being issued to all students to prepare them for their next grade level!  Look for this to come home in their book bags before the end of the school year!  A little work each day can go a long way!
