Our students are diving into the world of math like never before with the Prisms Virtual Reality program! They're learning to connect math to reality in a fun and immersive way—determining the rate of change (rise over run) and using it to solve real-world problems. From interpreting graphs to making predictions, they're mastering how rate of change(slope) can reveal key insights!
This lesson in Ms. Montford's 8th grade class explores environmental responsibility: students are applying the concept of rate of change to analyze different fishing nets and their impact on the ecosystem, helping to protect the tuna population and marine life.
