Articulation

- Using a book have your child find 10 words including their target speech sound. Have your child state each word and a short phrase using their speech sounds.
- Have your child 10 find items around the house that include their speech sound. Have your child state each word and a short phrase using their speech sounds.

Language

- Have your child read a story, then retell the story in its own words. Ask them who, what, when, where and why questions about the story. Model correct responses and complete sentence, then have your child repeat if needed.
- You and your child play “I spy an item.” Your child will choose 5-10 items and provide descriptions and clues about each item for you to guess (Ex: It is red, you find it in the refrigerator, it grow on trees and you eat it=apple). Then choose 5-10 items to describe or provide clues for your child to guess.
 

Fluency/Stuttering

- Have your child read a story they enjoy and retell or answer questions about the story using “controlled” speech.
- You and your child play “I spy an item.” Your child will choose 5-10 items and provide descriptions and clues about each item for you to guess (Ex: It is red, you find it in the refrigerator, it grow on trees and you eat it=apple). Then choose 5-10 items to describe or provide clues for your child to guess.
